Petrol fans can choose between the TCe 100 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol making 100 PS (99 hp) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft) of torque, TCe 130 1.3-liter turbo-four rated at 130 PS (128 hp) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque, and the range-topping TCe 155 which is a higher powered version of the latter unit producing 155 PS (153 hp) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. Until the electrified power plant becomes available, customers will be able to choose from several three gasoline and two diesel engines. The system combines a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors and a 9.8 kWh battery pack. Essentially the same powertrain as in the new Clio, the electrified powertrain enables the Captur to travel up to 28 miles (45 km) in pure electric mode, at speeds of up to 83 mph (135 km/h).
